After hours and hours of trying on wedding dresses you finally say Yes to the Dress! Fast forward to the big day and there's no better feeling than slipping on your wedding gown. It deserves its own special moment. Getting ready is a busy and hectic part of the pre-wedding festivities. The excitement and anticipation is building. You may feel some last-minute jitters or nerves about your walk down the aisle.  A  great way to calm nerves is to plan the Bridesmaids' First Look. After getting ready together with hair and makeup, the Bride makes way to another room to put on her gown and accessories. She's often with her mother, mother-in-law or Maid of Honor. Faux Flowers or Fresh Blooms

Image
When you start planning a wedding, the costs add up quickly. One of the biggest expenses are flowers. This Spring we've met some savvy brides who chose to use faux flowers in place of fresh ones. Hmmm, will they look fake? Not if you find the right ones.  High-quality silk flowers can easily pass for the real thing. You can choose to have your bouquet consist of only faux flowers, or incorporate sprays of faux flowers to accent a fresh arrangement. Using both faux and fresh can help keep costs down while featuring star blooms that may be out of season at the time of your wedding.  The silk flowers in this bouquet look super real. We love capturing shots of dapper grooms with their groomsmen on the big day. The boys typically like to keep the photo sessions short and sweet, usually about 15 minutes pre-ceremony.  Our shot list varies from couple to couple. It always includes the can't miss staples of the groom and his crew laughing together, and walking to the wedding ceremony together. As you can see from these photos, we keep the session lighthearted and fun.

What is the role of a Page Boy?

What is the role of a Page Boy in a Wedding? Traditionally, the Page Boy would carry the Bride's train down the aisle. These days they often walk down the aisle escorting the Flower Girl and holding her hand. Truth be said, a lot of what a Page Boy does is to look cute! These dapper dudes are cuteness overload!  Nevertheless, it's a great way to include a young boy (typically under the age of eight) in your Wedding without giving them too much responsibility. We added a few other photos at the nd of roles for older boys. They make great dog-walkers for walking down the aisle. One of our favorite ring bearer ideas is "Ring Security". It will bring a little humor and make them feel VERY important!
